2006 Spring Season:
Hefflinger started all
56 games as a freshman, playing primarily second base and shortstop. She
led the Lady Saluqis with 24 walks and 34 runs scored and also ranked among
team leaders with a .276 average, seven doubles, one triple, 42 hits, 51
total bases, 20 runs batted in, six sacrifice bunts, 15 stolen bases, and 79
assists. Hefflinger drove in multiple runs in a team-high six games
including a three RBI against Hiwassee. She also had nine multiple-hit
games and had three hits against Hiwassee, Columbia State, and Roane State.
In 26 conference games, Hefflinger batted .352 and led the team in RBI.
High School: Hefflinger, a four-year letter-winner at Bolton High
School, led the Lady Wildcats to the regular season District 14AAA
championship, the Region 7AAA championship, and a berth in the Class AAA
state tournament. Playing second base for Coach Pam Parker, Hefflinger was
a two-time all-district selection and was also named to The Commercial
Appeal’s Best of the Preps team as a junior. In addition, she was a
two-time Defensive Player of the Year for Bolton and was named to Who’s Who
Among American High School Students.
Personal: Born October 1, 1986, in Mesa, Arizona, Hefflinger is the
daughter of Holly and Frank Hefflinger.
