ANNA CARTER

Position:  Catcher/Third Base
Height:  5'4"
Class:  Sophomore
Hometown:  Memphis, TN
High School:   White Station





2006 Spring Season:
 Carter played in 54 games as a freshman including 44 starts behind the plate and three at third base.  She batted .204 with four doubles and 10 runs batted in and ranked second on the team with 159 put-outs and a .943 fielding average (including .976 in conference games).  Carter had five multiple hit games during the season including a 5 for 6 performance in a doubleheader against Cleveland State.

2005 Spring Season:  Carter was red-shirted.

High School:
   Carter played at White Station High School, where she was coached by Ed McDougal and Kemm McDonald.  As a senior, Carter led the Lady Spartans to the MIAA City Championship, defeating Central.  She was a utility player for the Lady Spartans, playing third base, catcher, and left field.  Carter played summer ball for the Memphis Lightning, coached by Ed McDougal.

Personal:  Born March 19, 1986, in Memphis, Carter is the daughter of Brian and Shelly Carter.
