was a two-year letterman for Coach Jeff Hopkins at Collierville High
School. He helped lead Collierville to the district and region
championships in both his junior and senior seasons. His senior year,
Fortenberry batted .350 with two home runs and 15 stolen bases and was named
to the All-District 15AAA and The Commercial Appeal’s Best of the Preps
All-Metro teams.
Personal: Born September 14, 1988, in Pulaski County, Arkansas,
Fortenberry is the son of Mike Fortenberry and Liz Stewart.
