SOUTHWEST CLIMBS TO FIFTH
IN NJCAA RANKINGS
The Southwest men’s basketball team moved up four spots to number
five in this week’s National Junior College Athletic Association
Division I poll. It is the highest ranking ever for Southwest, which is
currently 6-0 on the season. The Saluqis, coached by Verties Sails Jr.,
are the defending Region VII champions and were ranked ninth in the
NJCAA pre-season poll.
