FOUR SALUQI BASEBALL
PLAYERS VOTED ALL-TJCCAA
Four Southwest
baseball players have been selected to the 2008
Tennessee Junior and Community College Athletic
Association All-Conference team.
Sophomore leftfielder and leadoff hitter Billy Ray Todd
(Bartlett) was the Saluqis’ lone first team pick. Todd
led the team with a .374 batting average, 64 hits, 16
doubles, and a .452 on-base average.
Sophomore rightfielder Corey Rudolph (Bartlett) and
freshman designated hitter Chris Coleman (Germantown)
garnered second team accolades. Rudolph batted .320 and
led the Saluqis with 40 runs scored, five triples, 23
walks, and 16 stolen bases. Coleman batted .349 and led
the team with 11 home runs, 46 runs batted in, and a
.691 slugging average.
Sophomore third baseman Devin Hicks (Bartlett) was named
to the third team. Hicks batted .323 and was among team
leaders with 12 doubles, 10 home runs, 39 runs batted
in, and a .639 slugging average.
