SOUTHWEST BASEBALL OPENS 2008 SEASON
The Southwest baseball opens its season this weekend
(February 1 - February 3) with a three-game series
against LSU-Eunice in Eunice, Louisiana. The two teams
will play single games at 6 p.m. on Friday, 2 p.m. on
Saturday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday.
The
Saluqis, now in their second season under Head Coach Bo
Reynolds (pictured at left), return seven
position players off last year’s team. Back for their
sophomore seasons are catcher Jordan Wakefield
(Collierville), infielders David Clayton (CBHS), Nick
Madill (Munford), and Ryan Ripperton (Bartlett), and
outfielders Daniel Hill (Houston), Billy Ray Todd
(Bartlett), and Mitch Warren (Murfreesboro Oakland).
Returning pitchers include Dusty Carver (Millington),
Colby Fitzpatrick (Fayette Academy), Chad Free
(Millington), Brandon Goodman (Bolivar), Adam Hampton
(Cordova), and Tim Harmon (DeSoto Central).
